Marshall County Jail Conditions

The local condition story is specific. The DOC inspection states that Marshall County Jail was built in 1976 and was 47 years old when inspected in 2023. The physical plant was described as clean and well maintained for its age, but the report said the design did not fit the county's needs. It also said the dayroom or program space did not allow for physical activities and exercise, while the jail provided board games, puzzles, activity books, a library, and TV in available space.

The county was addressing recreation and plant limits through remodeling and addition work, and the FY25 MNDOC table later listed Marshall County as temporarily closed.
