Information You Enter
Search Terms
When a name, location, or other lookup detail is entered into a search box, that query may be sent to the third-party provider that powers the tool. Marshall County Inmate Population does not keep its own jail roster search log or store those terms as an official record.
Messages
If you send an email or contact message, the details you provide may be kept long enough to read it, respond, and maintain ordinary business records. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement applies.
Automatic Site Data
Like most websites, this site may collect basic technical data when pages load. That data helps measure performance, spot broken pages, and understand which Marshall County jail, court, and locator resources readers use most.
- IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on those pages.
- Referring website, when one is available.
- Date and time of the visit.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used for analytics, ads, and basic site functions. You can block or delete cookies through browser settings, but some search, ad, or preference features may work differently afterward.
How Data Is Used
- To keep pages available, stable, and fast.
- To send search requests to the provider handling that search.
- To learn which jail roster, MCRO, MNDOC, BOP, ICE, and VINE pages are useful.
- To find bugs, bad links, and other technical issues.
- To display advertising that may be based on general interests.
Outside Websites
This site links to official sheriff pages, detention facility pages, Minnesota Court Records Online, Minnesota Department of Corrections resources, federal locators, custody notification tools, and third-party search services. After you leave this site, the privacy policy and terms of that outside site control.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize visits across different websites and show targeted ads. Those practices happen on the partner's systems, not as part of an official Marshall County record system.

Security Practices
Reasonable safeguards are used for information handled by this site. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed breach-proof, and no security method can remove every risk.
